Attention Owners, Assignees and Licensees of Registered Trademarks
New technology to capitalize on your trademark
A new domain space, .TEL, is rolling out starting this month. By registering your company with a .TEL, your customers will be able to access real-time contact information through an easily-controlled database. Read below to find out more.
What is .TEL?
A new Internet top-level domain is becoming available: yourcompany.TEL. This new domain space will provide high-speed access to hierarchical contact information that your company wishes to make available. The address will not host a Web site, but instead will store information in a small data packet, making it easy for consumers and others to find and contact your company via the Internet and mobile devices.
Why .TEL?
.TEL promises to be the phone book of the Internet. Your customers and vendors will be able to access instant contact information for your company. At a minimum, your company should register eligible domains for defensive purposes. To learn more about this technology or what .TEL can do for your company, click

Limited Timeline
The "sunrise period" allows owners of registered marks to apply for and register new .TEL domain names incorporating registered trademarks on a first come first served basis, beginning December 3, 2008, and running through February 2, 2009. If your company does not have a registered trademark, it may sign up for a .TEL domain name beginning on February 3, 2009.
