Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A.’s Director of Marketing Deb Cochran discusses  embracing the “low-key” marketing approach. Deb is quoted in John Reinan’s article on MinnPost.com about the legal marketing industry’s use of new and vast techniques, like blogging and online social networks.  “Our marketing really revolves around creating awareness,” Deb said, “It’s about helping people consider our firm and our lawyers, and building that trust overall” (qtd. in Reinan).
 
In addition, Reinan discusses the success of DuetsBlog, a blog written by some of Winthrop & Weinstine’s Trademark & Brand Management group, headed up by attorney Stephen R. Baird. Reinan affirms that many lawyers are afraid of blogging, but Steve Baird and his team have enjoyed entering into it. “It’s been great,” Steve said, “It allows us to explore some topics in a more creative way that you’d normally approach them” (qtd. in Reinan).
