MINNEAPOLIS, MN – January 30, 2012. Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., announced today that
Sri K. Sankaran has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property department as a shareholder. Mr. Sankaran is an attorney with over 20 years of experience litigating patent and other intellectual property cases. He has handled
patent infringement cases across a broad range of technologies, including software, communication networks, pharmaceuticals, and nutritional supplements. He has also litigated copyright, trademark, trade secret, and unfair competition matters.
He has represented such clients as Soft-Gel Technologies and Cargill. Mr. Sankaran was previously a partner in the international law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP, and practiced in that firm’s Minneapolis, San Francisco, and Palo Alto offices.

Mr. Sankaran received his B.A. from the University of Chicago, with honors, and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School,
