has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer
as a 2012 “Up & Coming Attorney.” In its twelfth year, this award identifies those Minnesota attorneys who have distinguished themselves during their first ten years of practice. Criteria for selection include professional accomplishment and leadership service to the community. The 25 honorees were chosen by Minnesota Lawyer
's editorial staff based on nominations from law firms, legal associations, previous award recipients and other members of the state bar.
This year’s Up & Coming Attorneys are currently featured in a special section in Minnesota Lawyer
and will be recognized during an awards luncheon on September 12, 2012, in downtown Minneapolis.
Joe focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation and has a variety of general business and administrative experience that makes him a great advisor to his clients. He also works on cases in administrative and regulatory law, and employment law. His works include a wide variety of litigation matters, including those involving FACTA, FDCPA, fraud and consumer fraud, FLSA, discrimination cases, shareholder disputes, breach of warranty and breach of contract, and life insurance disputes. He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School.
He is extremely active in the community and has taken on the leadership role within the firm as the chair of the Community Service committee. In this role, he coordinates and organizes the firm’s sponsored community service activities, including quarterly drives that support local charitable organizations, the sponsoring of an in-need family, and firm sponsored volunteer activities. Outside of the firm, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Creative Arts Resource of Western Racine County, a 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on providing arts education to the disabled community and connecting the arts community to local businesses.
He received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin. Joe currently lives in Maplewood, MN.
