Vaillancourt will also be honored as member of “Circle of Excellence”
MINNEAPOLIS, MN –November 1, 2012. Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A, is proud to announce that Michele Vaillancourt has been named as one of Finance and Commerce’s “Top Women in Finance.” This award recognizes and celebrates Minnesota women who have made significant contributions to the financial services industry by positively influencing their businesses and communities. This year, Michele will also be honored with a “Circle of Excellence Award,” which recognizes the sustained achievement of women who have twice been honored among the Finance & Commerce “Top Women.”
The Top Women in Finance 2012 honorees will be celebrated on the evening of November 1st at a dinner and awards presentation at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. Profiles of the winners will also appear in a special section of Finance and Commerce in November.

Michele chairs the Emerging Companies & Entrepreneurial Services group at Winthrop & Weinstine, and concentrates her practice in the areas of securities and corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. She serves as outside general counsel to a number of public and privately held companies, particularly in technology and medical technology. She also represents clients in general corporate litigation, including shareholder disputes and securities fraud cases, as well as employment and contractual disputes. She was the first full-time securities attorney at the firm, and has been a shareholder since 1987.
Michele received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
