The article, “Finding success in succession,” discusses how succession planning is key to passing on family-owned businesses, which has led to an increase in work for estate planning attorneys. “[Younger generations] want to get a head start on succession issues and tax issues,” says Clayton (qtd. in Wolf). “In my experience, if owners see possible tax impacts, they're quick to utilize the appropriate tax-saving techniques.”
