Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A.’s Director of Marketing Deb Cochran is quoted about finding new ways to market in the current economy in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. The article, “Tight budgets have firms getting creative with marketing dollars,” focuses on what law firms around the Twin Cities are doing to raise awareness without maxing firm budgets. Law firms are turning to “alternative” mediums like Web sites and social networking sites. “Having the Web site is a lot like owning a car,” Deb said, “We didn’t upgrade anything for six or seven years, and I would say we spent virtually nothing on it during that time. So when we did upgrade, it was an investment” (qtd. in Niemela).
