Winthrop & Weinstine Announces Its New Shareholders & Associates
 
Minneapolis, MN – March 2, 2010.  Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., is pleased to formally announce four new shareholders: Aimée D. Dayhoff, Christianna L. Finnern, Anton J Moch and Dean D. Willer. Also announced today were the new 2010 associates: Kristopher Lee, Erin A. Oglesbay, William T. Peffer, Sudha A. Rajan, Michael J. Stepan, and Douglas S. Wolgamot. Aimée D. Dayhoff | Litigation
Aimée actively counsels clients in business, commercial and employment litigation. She also helps clients work through increased problems associated with matters relating to foreclosures and appointments of receivers. Aimée is an active firm leader, involved in committees associated with associate development, diversity, marketing and recruiting. In 2008, she was selected as an “Up & Coming Attorney” by Minnesota Lawyer, and listed as a Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics for 2009 and 2010. Aimée is a graduate of William Mitchell College of law, magna cum laude.
 
Christianna counsels individuals, small and large businesses, insurance companies, employers and lenders in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts. Christianna uses her broad and extensive experience to efficiently resolve disputes both large and small. In addition to business & commercial litigation, employment litigation and products liability litigation, Christianna has specific expertise in title insurance claims and coverage matters, including quiet title actions, defalcations and mechanic's lien claims. She also has expertise representing lenders in workout and foreclosure situations and participation loan agreements. Christianna is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law. She has been named as a Rising Star every year since 2008 and was recently listed as a “future star” in litigation by Benchmark Litigation.
 
Anton J. Moch | Banking
Tony's primary practice is in community banking and he routinely works with and advises banking institutions and bank ownership on bank mergers and acquisitions, branch assumptions, corporate restructuring, bank expansion strategies and capital raising, branching issues and the sale of banking organizations to third parties. Further, he assists bank management with regulatory compliance, electronic payment systems and operational requirements. In addition to his community banking practice, he assists his banking clients and corporate management with employment counseling and compliance requirements of all federal and state employment laws. Tony is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law, magna cum laude.
 
Dean D. Willer | Corporate
Mr. Willer assists start-up entrepreneurs and rapidly growing companies in the areas of entity formation, general corporate services, business counseling assistance and fund raising.  He also represents private and public companies, venture capital groups, hedge funds and private equity funds that are acquiring, selling, reorganizing and merging businesses, bringing both legal and business capability to the transaction. Mr. Willer is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law Schooland has his MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Kristopher “Tip” Lee | Creditors’ Remedies & Bankruptcy, Litigation
Tip focuses his practice on issues relating to creditors’ remedies & bankruptcy law, business & commercial litigation, and appellate practice. Before joining Winthrop & Weinstine, Tip clerked for the Honorable Kevin G. Ross at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. This experience has enabled him to assist with cases that are appealed. Before attending law school at William Mitchell College of Law, Tip was an English instructor at Wenzhou University in China; he is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. During law school, Tip served as a research assistant for a professor at William Mitchell, worked for the Registrar and the Dean of Students, and volunteered at the Minnesota Justice Foundation in the area of mediation and dispute resolution.
 
Erin A. Oglesbay | Litigation
Erin practices in the firm’s business & commercial litigation law practice. Before joining Winthrop & Weinstine, Erin clerked for the Honorable James M. Rosenbaum, United States District Court Judge for the District of Minnesota, and practiced with another Twin Cities law firm. Erin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was also inducted into the Order of the Coif. Erin was the co-editor-in-chief for the Minnesota Journal of Global Trade, and won the Federal Bar Association Ed Devitt Award at law school. She earned her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
 
William T. Peffer | Corporate, Banking
Bill practices in the areas of general corporate and banking law. Prior to joining Winthrop & Weinstine, he interned for a mediator and worked in the University of Iowa’s Consumer Law Clinic. Bill graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2009, where he served on the executive boards of the Environmental Law Society, the Iowa Student Bar Association and the Executive Council of Graduate and Professional Students. He received his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Colorado in 2006.
 
Sudha A. Rajan | Employment, Litigation
Sudha practices in business & commercial litigation and employment law. At the University of Minnesota Law School, she was the Student Coordinator for the Peer Support Network, a joint effort by the Dean of Student’s Office and Law Council to address health, substance abuse, and life balance issues; was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Burke; volunteered with the Street Law Program; worked for the Housing Law Clinic, and participated in National Moot Court. Before law school, Sudha worked for the University of Wisconsin Survey Center on various research projects. 
 
Michael J. Stepan | Creditors’ Remedies & Bankruptcy
Mike’s practice emphasizes creditors’ rights in and outside of bankruptcy, commercial-loan enforcement, workouts, foreclosures, and litigation. Mike is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, where he served on the editorial board of William Mitchell Law Review. After graduating from law school, he served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gregory F. Kishel, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Minnesota. Before and during law school, he was courtroom deputy clerk to the Honorable Nancy C. Dreher, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Minnesota. 
 
Douglas S. Wolgamot | Estate Planning
Doug practices in the estate planning, business succession planning, and tax, trusts & estates groups. Prior to practicing law, Doug's professional experience includes working as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, advising closely-held business owners and high net worth individuals on business succession, investment, and estate planning issues. Doug is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, and has a B.A., magna cum laude, in economics from St. Olaf College.
