Jeff Drennan is a tax, real estate and transactional attorney with Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., representing nonprofit and for-profit clients in a broad and complicated range of tax, real estate and corporate matters. Jeff regularly represents clients in formation and structuring of entities, real estate reorganizations, financial restructurings, acquisitions and divestitures. These clients rely upon Jeff’s expertise in real estate finance, tax-exempt bond financing, HUD financing, Freddie Mac financing, Fannie Mae financing, tax increment financing, public housing funds, HOME and CDBG funds, as well as the construction and rehabilitation of commercial buildings, historic buildings, affordable housing, mixed-use residential and commercial projects and associated tax credits. Jeff has significant experience in real estate debt and equity investments including syndication of tax credits involving low income housing tax credits, historic tax credits and new market tax credits.
Prior to joining Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., Jeff worked in the tax, accounting and finance departments of a Fortune 500 corporation in Minnesota. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, and is recognized as a Certified Management Accountant (C.M.A.) and a Certified Financial Manager (C.F.M.).
