Lisa Ellingson is an associate at Winthrop & Weinstine
in the Patent Department, focusing her practice on patent litigation.
Prior to joining Winthrop & Weinstine, Lisa was employed at a boutique law
firm in Seoul, South Korea, specializing in health care and pharmaceuticals,
where she drafted and reviewed business agreements for Korean clients.
Lisa is proficient in Korean and French, and is actively
involved in the community. She is the Vice President of Korean Affairs
for the International Korean Adoptee Association (IKAA), and represented IKAA
as an Observer at the Special Commission on the practical operation of the Hague
Intercountry Adoption Convention. IKAA is the only organization to represent
the perspectives of adult intercountry adoptees at the Special Commission,
which meets only once every five years. Lisa is also member of the
International Association of Korean Lawyers and the Minnesota Asian Pacific
American Bar Association.
Lisa received her J.D., magna
cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and was

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and their son.
