Mark Gleeman is a results-oriented shareholder at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., and practices in the areas of corporate and business law, banking, and labor and employment law. Mark has substantial experience representing business and corporate clients. He provides general business advice and legal counsel to clients covering a wide range of issues from day-to-day matters to the structuring, negotiation, drafting, and review of complex contracts and joint ventures. For more than 20 years, Mark has represented local and national lenders in preparing and closing real estate and asset-based loans.

Mark also has significant experience representing employers with labor and employment issues. He has negotiated numerous labor contracts as lead negotiator and represented management in responding to employee and union grievances, unfair labor practice charges, and discrimination charges filed with various federal, state, and local governmental agencies, covering a multitude of issues. Mark also provides employment counseling advise to employers spanning a variety of issues including employee discipline, termination, investigation, confidentiality and employment agreements and employee handbooks and policies.

Mark’s mergers and acquisitions experience includes representing clients in straight-forward and complex transactions for small to middle market companies in the printing, services, manufacturing, distribution, consulting, and government contracting industries. Mark has structured, negotiated, and drafted purchase agreements, leases, employment and independent contractor agreements, and thousands of other contracts and agreements.

  • Represented majority shareholder of distribution company in acquisition of stock from minority shareholder
  • Structured and negotiated multi-state acquisition of landfill gas facilities
  • Represented an IT consulting firm in the acquisition of a Nebraska company and a local competitor
  • Structured and negotiated the sale of a local printing business to an out-of-state buyer
