Matthew Callanan is an associate in the Litigation department.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin G.
Ross of the Minnesota Court of Appeals and to the Honorable Michael J. Melloy
of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
He earned his J.D., with high distinction (magna cum laude),
Order of the Coif, and with highest service honors, from the University of Iowa
College of Law. While in law school, Matthew served as the Chair of the Academic
Affairs Committee and was a student representative for the Iowa Student Bar
Association. He also served as President and Philanthropy Chair of Phi Delta
Phi, the international legal honor society. He earned his B.A., cum laude,
in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. In his free
time, Matthew volunteers as a high school mock trial coach.
