Richard A. Hoel is a founding partner of Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., which began in 1979. Except for the years with the United States Navy, he has spent the bulk of his time working on buying, selling and structuring companies. In particular, he has spent a great deal of his time working with banks and bank holding companies throughout the Ninth Federal Reserve District and elsewhere. As part of this process, he has been involved in the tax, securities and regulatory issues associated with acquisitions, divestitures and restructurings.
