Experience
Susan joined the Intellectual Property group at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. in 2010. Prior to joining the firm, Susan assisted both small start-up companies and a global industrial company with their trademark, patent and copyright needs. Susan has experience with trademark, copyright and domain name enforcement as well as opposition and cancellation proceedings. As a licensed patent attorney, she has provided patent infringement opinions and assisted in both complex patent litigation and prosecution matters.
 
Susan graduated from the University of Minnesota’s Joint Degree Program where she worked on her law degree and Master of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology & Genetics. While a student, Susan taught undergraduate biology lab at the University of Minnesota. She also volunteered at the Hennepin County Family Law Center assisting residents with family law proceedings and worked as an articles editor on the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science, and Technology.
