I love working in real estate; when we accomplish a goal, it’s tangible and we can see it evolve.

When my real estate developer clients are working on a transaction, I stay focused on getting it done and overcoming potential road blocks. I work to make sure we are proactively addressing everything before it comes up, including information a lender may request, city approvals and due diligence review. All the gears turn towards getting the deal closed on time and in a way that benefits my clients. I’m a collaborative person by nature, and I use that skill to keep a deal moving and achieve the end goal.
In addition to my real estate practice, I am passionate about pro bono work. I regularly volunteer with LegalCORPS at their brief advice clinics in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, and I also represent nonprofits through the process of applying for tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code.
Outside of work, I stay active with my husband and kids. We’re definitely the family that loves being out and about in the Twin Cities, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, going to concerts and checking out new parks.
I focus on real estate development, including the purchase and sale of real property, title and survey review, zoning approvals, risk assessment and environmental review. I regularly represent clients before Planning Commissions and City Councils to obtain land use approvals, including variances and conditional use permits. I also have experience representing both landlords and tenants is all aspects of commercial leasing.
