We’re not just pushing money around; together, we support communities.

My Approach

I serve as a holistic advisor for community banks, providing legal counsel and advice, but in the context of helping them grow their businesses in a responsible manner. Our team supports banks to ensure that everything they do is in the best interest of their business, their community, and will pass regulatory scrutiny. Because I work with a number of banks, I can counsel clients on trends in the industry and bring to the table new perspective and unique approaches to issues. In the transaction setting, the number of bank transactions I have been involved in gives me the ability to truly understand the upheaval that comes along with a bank deal. Therefore, I take a practical approach to get the deal done in order to minimize the disruption to a bank’s day-to-day business.

Strong banks make strong communities and I appreciate that the work I do makes a difference for our clients and for their communities. If I help a community bank develop a new product or complete a transaction that increases the availability of credit, that can have an actual, real-life effect on the community.  I believe in community banks as a driver of economic growth, and do everything I can to help them maintain that position in their communities.

Outside of work, I am a mediocre hockey player keeping the dream alive, and my wife and I do a lot of woodworking. She’s the brains behind the operation – I’m forced labor. I also cater to every need our three dogs might possibly have.
