Clients come to me when events threaten their organization and they need my help avoiding, resolving, or removing that pressure. I love the process of discovery, of learning all there is to know about my clients, the challenge facing them and what caused it, their short- and long-term goals, and then digging through all of the facts to contextualize and advocate their situation, to find simple answers to complex problems. Every case is different, and figuring out the path to success within a set timeline and budget, and in the face of concerted opposition, is the beauty of litigation.
I work hard to develop a relationship of trust with my clients, to ease their minds in difficult times with the knowledge that everything that can be done is being done.
Outside of work, I love to cook, and I’m a wizard at breakfast. I read anything historical or character driven, and play board games with my wife and kids.
I represent plaintiffs and defendants of all sizes, from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies, in complex commercial litigation matters before state and federal courts, and in high-risk, bet-the-company situations.
I have significant experience resolving issues affecting manufacturers, service providers, and financial institutions, including unfair competition and antitrust, patent infringement, supply-chain relationships and management, product liability, contracts of insurance, employment disputes, dealer/distributor/sales representative relationships, and field failures, even catastrophic ones. In addition to leading litigation teams, I frequently advise on business matters, risk management, and negotiating out-of-court dispute resolution.
