I represent clients in a variety of disputes, including real estate and antitrust litigation, and general commercial contract matters.
For me, the more complicated the matter, the better. I love diving into the facts of a complex litigation matter, sifting through information and working to find the evidence that supports my clients’ case, and at the same time poking holes in the opponents’ case. I am extremely detail oriented making sure I know the facts of each case, and use that knowledge to think quickly on my feet and to dissolve tense situations.
Before joining Winthrop, I was in-house counsel with the nation’s largest trade association where I provided federal, state and local campaign finance and lobbying guidance to internal staff and state and local associations. I also practiced for four years at a large law firm, in Chicago, where I gained experience in antitrust litigation, transactional, and counseling matters in a range of industries, including health care, consumer products, and agriculture.
I also have practical government and public policy experience having worked as a legislative aide in the United State Senate and as an Honors Paralegal for the United States Department of Justice.
Outside of the office, I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with my husband and two young children. I also enjoy being active in my community.
