What I love most about my practice is that all parties are working toward a common goal. Each transaction can be a positive experience for all involved and result in long-lasting relationships. Growing up, I watched my dad’s interactions with his attorney as he operated his small business, and I knew that was the kind of service I wanted to provide in my career. I recognize that every transaction is the most important transaction for my client and approach each deal in that manner. I really enjoy being able to look at the tangible result of my work and feel like an integral piece of each deal. If I am able to make each transaction a good experience for all parties while meeting my client’s goals and protecting their interests, I will feel like I have done my job.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to concerts and Minnesota sporting events, taking group fitness classes, traveling, and thrill-seeking activities such as skydiving, scuba diving, and snowboarding.
I represent financial institutions in connection with commercial lending and real estate finance. I lean on my M.B.A. and background as a financial analyst to balance the economic and legal aspects of each transaction and make sure transactions come together. I am always looking ahead to foresee and prevent potential issues and find creative and efficient solutions to problems. It is my job to move the transaction forward in a strategic and efficient manner from initial due diligence to closing and beyond.
