Nathan J. Witzany

I love to dive into a problem and work until I find the solution.

My Approach

I partner with clients to develop an intellectual property strategy that is consistent with their business strategies and counsel on how to make their intellectual property work for their businesses. I work closely with clients to understand their technology and their business, and use that knowledge to develop a plan that meets their specific needs. This includes ensuring that the claims of their patent applications align with the scope of protection the clients require in order to meet their various business goals. My engineering training helps when the technology gets very detailed, and I enjoy being able to talk with my clients knowledgably about their products.

My experience in intellectual property litigation  additionally provides me with invaluable insight as to how the courts, intentionally or unintentionally, directly impact the strategies for acquiring patent rights.  Because of my dual experience in both litigation and prosecution, clients can rely on me for all of their intellectual property-related needs, as well as counseling on how to best leverage their intellectual property to benefit their businesses.

Outside of work, my wife and I spend our time trying to keep our daughters busy, taking them to various parks, playing games, or going to the theater.
