My groundbreaking moment happened before I ever became a lawyer. My time in the Army taught me the critical importance of discipline, hard work, and attention to detail; indispensable traits that continue to serve me well in the legal field. It’s not good enough to be smart in this business, you have to do the hard work every day, and you can never rest on what you achieved yesterday. My experiences overseas prepared me for what I needed to do to be successful in the business world.
Complex litigation is like solving a multidimensional puzzle. I work with my clients to maneuver in and around all the moving pieces –the law, the facts of the case, and the opposing arguments – to make it out the other side. It requires creativity to take in all of those aspects, and put everything together in ways that others haven’t considered to gain a strong advantage.
Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and kids, and we enjoy hosting BBQs in the summer.
