Coming to Winthrop & Weinstine, all those years ago, was the best career decision I ever made. There is something special about the culture here – it’s not just that there are smart lawyers, or great clients, both of which are true – but that the people at Winthrop, from the top down, respect one another, and treat each other well. Once someone asked me, what would be your dream job? The only answer was: This. This is it. It has been beyond my dreams.
With individual clients in estate planning, no matter their net worth, they are looking for help dealing with their money, their loved ones and their mortality – and I have the utmost respect for these as some of the most important aspects of their lives. Each client is different. I enjoy listening to their stories to develop an estate or business plan that is right for their situation.
These topics can be fraught with emotion for my clients, and I work to develop real relationships with them, and will always be open to discussing the difficult aspects with honesty from a practical perspective.
Outside of work, I love to downhill ski, spend time with family, cook, travel, and read everything from literature, history, current events, spiritual books and mysteries.
