2020 Hot Topics Compliance Update

Shareholder David Aafedt and Winthrop & Weinstine’s Dental Law team will present a CE Spot on July 31, 2020 at the Minnesota Dental Association’s Star of the North Conference in St. Paul, Minnesota. The session, “2020 Hot Topics Compliance Update,” was reviewed and approved by the MDA’s Scientific Sessions Committee, and qualifies for Elective credit.

Your dental practice is subject to a complex web of legal requirements, which determines how you interact with patients, employees, third-party payers, and the government. This session will give an overview of the most significant state and federal legal and compliance developments over the past year. The team will cover, among other topics, significant changes to provider contracts with Minnesota’s largest payers, federal and state legislation to prohibit the use of non-competes, new state anti-kickback legislation, and the work of the State’s Opioid Prescribing Work group.

The presentation is open to all registered Star of the North attendees and requires no ticket to learn; it’s for whoever stops and listens.
