Handicapping the Minnesota Election

Attorney Tom Hanson and Director of Government Relations John Reich will speak at the 2018 Lignite Energy Council Fall Conference to be held Wednesday October 3, 2018 at the Bismarck Event Center. This meeting will feature the popular Mine & Plant Updates (for members only), as well as updates to important legislation and regulations impacting the lignite industry on the local, regional and federal levels. Additionally, attendees will take part in sessions focused on emerging markets, legislative priorities and industry initiatives.

Handicapping the Minnesota Election

During the CoalPAC Breakfast Presentation, Tom and John will present “Handicapping the Minnesota Election,” an update on the Minnesota political races in the midterm elections in November. The election will be a momentous one in Minnesota. Governor Mark Dayton is retiring, and the unexpected resignation of U.S. Senator Al Franken has put both U.S. Senate seats on the ballot, along with all Congressional seats, all state-wide constitutional offices, and all 134 seats in the Minnesota House.
