Winthrop & Weinstine attorney Tom Hanson was quoted by the Minneapolis Star Tribune in an article published in the Sunday, February 11, print issue. The article, “Tim Pawlenty offers Republicans formidable name in Minnesota governor’s race, but big vulnerabilities, too,” explored the pros and cons that Tim Pawlenty could potentially face should he chose to move forward with a “comeback bid” for Minnesota State Governor.

Tom Hanson, the former Management and Budget director under Pawlenty, “think[s] the benefit this time is, we don’t have a decade of recessions to deal with, which would give him the opportunity to be more creative,” referring to the difficult economic times that accompanied Pawlenty’s last run as Governor.
