I represent my clients before legislators and other government agencies, speaking with them about areas of interest to my clients, and discussing with my clients legislative hearings, changes in legislation, the political environment, and anything policy related that might impact the political landscape in Minnesota or the ability of my clients to deliver their products or services. Some of the issues I have worked on include transportation, health care, economic development, commerce, natural resources, tax and appropriation.
I worked on my first campaign when I was six years old and have been hooked ever since, with a real intellectual curiosity about the issues. I love learning all I can about my clients’ business and concerns, not just the big picture, but really getting into the weeds with them. The more I know, the better I can help anticipate problems on the horizon, and tell your story to lawmakers, who have so many demands on their time and efforts.
Prior to joining the firm, I served as a state legislative consultant to The Accountants Coalition, comprising the four largest accounting firms in the U.S., and as a lobbyist for Price Waterhouse legacy and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C. on trade policy issues, which included work with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Commerce Department, the European Commission, and the World Trade Organization to advance a trade agenda. In addition, I served as Program Manager for Genesis Park, PwC’s innovative global leadership development program.
Outside of work, I love to cook, and do anything that gets me outside – especially biking, hiking, kayaking, and cross-country skiing (even though I’m not especially good at it). I’m an avid football fan, and cheer on the Cowboys, Steelers, and Vikings.
